A trail of small footprints crosses the mug and stops dead at a question mark. Above it, the line every armchair detective already knows: "There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact." Set on a foggy, gaslit London panel with a magnifying glass tucked into the corner.
The quote is genuine, straight out of the original Sherlock Holmes stories and long since public domain, which is more than most novelty mugs can claim.
