Not today, thank you.

Mid-century advertising style, redrawn: a fifties illustration with the sparkle and a line it would never have printed, in black and red. Retro sass on a mug.

A woman in a mid-century ad illustration shuts the front door with one hand, teacup steady in the other. Above her, in bold period lettering: Not today, thank you.

No further explanation offered. None needed.

The scene and the caption wrap right round the mug in one continuous band, sparkles scattered in the space between, so it reads whichever way the handle sits.
