Details
A quill, mid-stroke, drawing one long line across the mug. Above it, the line itself: The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, moves on. Set inside an ornate Persian-style arch with arabesque corners.
The words are Edward FitzGerald's, from his translation of the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, well over a century old and still the best short answer to anyone hoping to take something back.
Part of a matching Rubaiyat set, same arch and arabesque border throughout, so it sits happily next to the others on the shelf.
Size and capacity
11oz (325 ml) ceramic, glossy finish.
Care
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
The print
Printed on both sides. The design is fused into the glaze, not printed on top of it.
