This notice applies to orders placed, and visits made, on ostrich-designs.com by customers and visitors in the United States. It explains what personal information we collect, why, and what choices and rights you have.

The A2Z Stores Limited, trading as Ostrich Designs ("we", "us"), is the seller of record for US orders and is responsible for your personal information under this notice.

What we collect and why

Contact details — name, shipping and billing address, email, phone — to process and deliver your order and respond to you.
Payment information — handled by our payment processor; we don't receive or store full card numbers.
Order information — what you bought, personalisation text, order history — to fulfil, support and improve your order.
Device and usage information — IP address, browser, pages visited, referring site — for site operation, security and, if you accept marketing cookies, analytics and advertising.
Communications — messages you send us — to respond to you.

We keep each category only as long as needed for the purpose above, or as required by law.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Depending on how a state's law defines it, our use of advertising and analytics cookies and pixels may count as "sharing" your information with advertising partners for targeted advertising, even though no money changes hands. See "Your privacy choices" below for how to opt out of that regardless.

Sources of personal information

Directly from you (checkout, account, contacting us); automatically through the site (cookies and similar technology); and from our service providers (our ecommerce and payments platform, the print partners who fulfil your order, and shipping carriers).

How we use personal information

To fulfil and ship your order, including sending it to the print partner who makes and ships it.
To provide customer support.
For marketing, if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
For security and fraud prevention.
To comply with law or respond to legal process.

Who we share it with

Our ecommerce platform and payment processor.
Our US print partners, who produce and ship your order inside the United States, and the shipping carriers they use. They receive only what's needed to make and ship your item — name, address, and personalisation text.
Analytics and advertising partners, only if you accept non-essential cookies in our cookie banner, or where permitted by your privacy choices below. These may include site-analytics and advertising-pixel tools; such tools are only active where configured for the US storefront.
Law enforcement or regulators, if legally required.
A buyer of the business, in the event of a merger, sale or similar transaction.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar technology for three purposes: making the site work, measuring how it's used, and showing relevant ads. Analytics and advertising cookies only run if you accept them in the cookie banner shown when you first visit; declining means they don't load. You can reopen your cookie choices at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights over your personal information, and we offer them to every US visitor regardless of where you live:

The right to know or access what personal information we hold about you.
The right to delete your personal information.
The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
The right to data portability.
The right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, and of its use for targeted advertising.
The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, as permitted by law. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification.

We honor Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt you out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and out of targeted advertising.

Children's data

Our site is a general-audience store and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at colin@ostrich-designs.com and we will delete it.

Security

No security measure is perfect. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, but we cannot guarantee that data will be free from unauthorized access.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. We'll post the revised notice here and update the "Last updated" date.
