Refund and Returns Policy (US)
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy applies to orders placed on ostrich-designs.com by customers shipping to an address in the United States.
Personalised items
Most of our products are personalised — you type a name, initials, a date, a registration plate, or similar text, and we print exactly what you entered. Because each one is made specifically for you, we don't offer returns or refunds for a change of mind on personalised items, once production has started.
This doesn't affect your rights if the item arrives damaged, faulty, or not as ordered — see below.
Non-personalised items
For non-personalised items, you have 30 days from delivery to return it unused and get a refund of the item price. Contact us at colin@ostrich-designs.com with your order number to arrange it.
Damaged, faulty, or not as ordered
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or isn't what you ordered — including a personalised item with a printing error that's our mistake, not a mistake in what you typed — email us a photo of the item (and packaging, if damaged in transit) at colin@ostrich-designs.com with your order number, within 30 days of delivery. We'll arrange a replacement or a full refund, including any shipping you paid.
Shipping delays
If your order is taking longer than the delivery estimate shown at checkout, contact us and we'll look into it. Where a delay means we can no longer meet the shipping commitment made when you ordered, you're entitled to the protections described in our Shipping Policy — in short: we'll tell you about the delay and either get your consent to it or refund you.
How to start a return or report a problem
Email colin@ostrich-designs.com, or use our contact page, with your order number and a short description of the issue, and a photo if the item is damaged, faulty or wrong. We'll confirm the next steps by reply.
Your state's rights
Some states give you a statutory right to return goods for a refund if a seller's refund policy isn't clearly posted. This page is our posted policy for all US orders, applied consistently regardless of which state you're in, and it doesn't limit any other right you have under the law of your state.
