Be tolerant with others and strict with yourself

Small scales, balanced, sitting on a marble ledge. The line above them is carved tablet-style into the marble, with a bronze laurel sprig marking the corner.

The words are Marcus Aurelius's, from the Meditations, written to himself and never meant for anyone else to read. Somehow it ended up on a mug.

Part of the Stoics series: same marble-and-laurel look across the set, so it sits well next to the others on a shelf or desk.
