Details
A 1950s studio portrait, black and white, silver-gelatin grain and all, with a caption typed beneath it like a line pasted into a family album. Vintage fifties manners, present-day rudeness.
A stern old studio portrait, the sort kept in a drawer and produced once a year, with a caption that says what everyone's actually thinking. Another year. Do try to look pleased.
For the birthday that's arrived whether anyone's ready for it or not. No fuss, no candles, just the look on the face and the line beside it, wrapped right around the mug so it reads from any angle.
Size and capacity
11oz (325 ml) ceramic, glossy finish.
Care
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
The print
Printed on both sides. The design is fused into the glaze, not printed on top of it.
