Details
Mid-century advertising style, redrawn: a fifties illustration with the sparkle and a line it would never have printed, in black and red. Retro sass on a mug.
A mid-century birthday scene wraps right round the mug: a woman fanning away cake smoke with an oven glove, the candles clearly winning. Above her, in period script and bold capitals, the line says it plainly: Blow out the candles, dear. Before the fire brigade arrive.
For the birthday in the family who treats "make a wish" as a house fire risk. Stars scattered through the scene, because someone's having a big one.

The print
