Details
A tortoise, unbothered, carrying a full teacup on its shell. Above it, in a mock-heraldic banner: FESTINA LENTE. Below, smaller, the translation: make haste slowly, finish your tea.
It was good enough for the Emperor Augustus. He had it as his personal motto, and an empire to run. This mug has a tea to finish, which is arguably the harder job.
Part of the Latin Mottoes (Loosely Translated) set, so it pairs neatly with the rest of the collection if you're building a shelf of them.
Size and capacity
11oz (325 ml) ceramic, glossy finish.
Care
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
The print
Printed on both sides. The design is fused into the glaze, not printed on top of it.
