A 1950s studio portrait, black and white, silver-gelatin grain and all, with a caption typed beneath it like a line pasted into a family album. Vintage fifties manners, present-day rudeness.
A studio portrait straight out of 1950, pearls and fur collar or a good suit and brilliantine, the kind of photo nobody remembers sitting for. Beside it, in bold typewriter type like a caption pasted into a family album: "Sixty. We shan't mention it."
It doesn't. That's rather the point.
The whole thing wraps right around the mug, portrait on one side of the handle, caption on the other, so it reads whichever way you pick it up.
