Details
Two clasped hands, wreathed in thistles, holding the line that's been sung badly at midnight for over two hundred years. Robert Burns wrote it, nobody remembers the second verse, and it still means exactly the same thing: don't forget me.
Part of the matching Rabbie Burns mug collection, so it sits well alongside the rest of the set on the same shelf.
The words are old enough to belong to everyone. Burns published them in 1788, and Auld Lang Syne has opened every New Year since, which makes it about as safe a friendship gift as poetry gets.
Size and capacity
11oz (325 ml) ceramic, glossy finish.
Care
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
The print
Printed on both sides. The design is fused into the glaze, not printed on top of it.
