Details
Mid-century advertising style, redrawn: a fifties illustration with the sparkle and a line it would never have printed, in black and red. Retro sass on a mug.
A pipe-smoking chap raises his tankard right round the mug, toasting the news that matters most on a birthday: you made it another year.
The caption reads exactly as promised, "Happy Birthday, old chap. The good news is you're still here." Mid-century advert lettering, a scatter of sparkles, and the accent picked out in the mug's own deep red.
For the dad, uncle, granddad or mate who'd rather be teased about his age than have it ignored.
Size and capacity
11oz (325 ml) ceramic, glossy finish.
Care
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
The print
Printed on both sides. The design is fused into the glaze, not printed on top of it.
