Details
A 1950s studio portrait, black and white, silver-gelatin grain and all, with a caption typed beneath it like a line pasted into a family album. Vintage fifties manners, present-day rudeness.
A studio portrait, the kind that used to sit on a sideboard in a silver frame, pearls or brilliantine, the grain of an old print. Beside it, in a bold typewriter hand, the caption that settles the argument: Older than the photograph. Just.
Wraps right round the mug in one continuous band, so the portrait and the line stay together whichever way it's turned.
Size and capacity
11oz (325 ml) ceramic, glossy finish.
Care
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
The print
Printed on both sides. The design is fused into the glaze, not printed on top of it.
