I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read.

A diary worth packing before the toothbrush. The line belongs to Oscar Wilde, from The Importance of Being Earnest, spoken by a woman who knows precisely what she is carrying.

The quote sits inside sweeping art nouveau curves with a peacock feather flourish, a small clasped diary drawn below it. Part of a matching set of mugs sharing the same border and style, so it sits nicely alongside the rest of the collection.
