Details
Julius Caesar said it crossing the Rubicon. We say it over a mug of tea and a rich tea biscuit.
ALEA IACTA EST sits large in a mock-heraldic banner, with "the biscuit has been dunked" printed smaller beneath it, next to a biscuit caught mid-dunk, droplets flying. The Latin is genuine, borrowed from Caesar himself, which is more classical education than most kitchens get before nine in the morning.
Part of the Latin Mottoes (Loosely Translated) collection, so it pairs neatly with the rest of the set for anyone building a matching shelf of them.
Size and capacity
11oz (325 ml) ceramic, glossy finish.
Care
Dishwasher and microwave safe.
The print
Printed on both sides. The design is fused into the glaze, not printed on top of it.
